Cricut Artiste-Thanksgiving Key Blog Hop!

Welcome to our blog hop featuring the "Thanksgiving Key" from the Cricut Artiste Collection available exclusively through Close to My Heart. If you have arrived here from Heather's blog, you're in the right place. If you get lost along the way, just check on Bren's blog for the complete list of participants. Check below to see just why we call it the Thanksgiving Key!

For my project, I chose papers from the Moonlight collection to create an autumn layout that is all ready to showcase a collection of my best pictures of the season.
The shades of gray in the papers are brought out by building the layout on a base of slate cardstock. Using our Slate Satin Polka-Dot Ribbon adds bit of texture. The autumn leaves are layered to create a lighter shadow effect and a variety of sparkles add a playful sophistication to the project. I love the way that the use of grays gives an unexpected freshness to the autumn palette!

Check out the leaves dancing around the circular mat on the left-hand side of the layout. They were created by cutting four cupcake wrappers at 1.5". I put them together utilizing the tabs and slots that are part of the design. Once assembled, the finished shape is adhered to the base and the addition of large sparkle badge buttons camouflages the intersections of the wrappers!

Let's take a quick look and you'll see just why we call it the Thanksgiving Key. This cricut collection is unique in that it is so very organized. You can find just the image you want and the images are grouped so that you can find thematic cousins on the same key!

To the left, you can see just how this works with the Thanksgiving Key! From a fun turkey to autumn leaves and even cupcake wrappers sporting and edge of leaves, you can create fabulous fall projects!

Thanks for visiting and feel free to leave a little note to say hello! Watch throughout this week as I show you additional layouts featuring the Moonlight papers along with different Cricut Artiste keys. You will even see an example of a winter layout using these papers!

Stay tuned and enjoy!

Now hop on over to Dawn's blog to see what she has created with the Thanksgiving Key!
