The Paper Trail meets Pear and Partridge

Welcome to November's edition of the Paper Trail Blog Hop! If you have arrived here from Vicki's blog, Wizard's Hangout, then you are on the right path. Being a circular hop, however, you can start here and continue around the blogs just as easily.

This month, we are featuring the colors of Cashmere, Cranberry, Desert Sand, New England Ivy, Olive and Smoothie as they appear in the Pear and Partridge Paper Packet. While the name and the colors may suggest a traditional holiday palette, the prints included in the collection are just as comfortable with everyday and even vintage projects.
With the help of the Cricut Artiste Collection, I went to work creating a collection of gift cards and boxes as shown above. Let's take a closer look at each of the projects!
The cube-shaped box, above, has a sweet little handle that has been dressed up with a bit of baker's twine and a tag. Distress the edges to add interest and it is all ready to hold a special gift or treat.
Both cards, shown above, feature a special pocket inside into which you can slide a gift card! It is the perfect way to dress up those plastic cards that are so popular to give!
The box above is a slider box. It is a cousin to the boxes in which you can buy wooden matches and, depending on the size, is a fun way to present any number of fun little goodies!
While this last little box features an evergreen tree as its closure, there are other similar boxes in the Cricut Artiste Collection that feature a flower, a bunny and more. Embellished with some torn paper, a bit of sponging with ink and a few Mocha Opaques, the box is ready for any precious treasure.

Ready for more Pear and Partridge? Hop on over to Lynne's blog, Field's Finery to see what she has to offer!
