Take a Balloon Ride on the Paper Trail

Welcome to this month's edition of the Paper Trail. This month we are featuring the warm summer colors from the Balloon Ride Paper Packet. As with any circular hop, you may have started here or arrived here from Connie's blog Either way, you can hop on around to see everyone's artwork.

While the thematic focal point paper suggests a high-flying balloon adventure, you can see how the remaining papers lend themselves to summer fun and even the beach! The colors are just perfect for any number of layout ideas! You can choose from the neutrals in Cashmere, Colonial White, and Saddle or the standout colors of Creme Brulee, Crystal Blue, Juniper, Sky and Sorbet. There are plenty of choices!

When this paper was first introduced, I designed a workshop that would result in 6 cards, 2 of each design, featuring the simple fan-shaped print and its small print reverse side. I chose Saddle as the neutral to use for stamping, distressing, and to mount the sentiment pieces. I also used the inner and outer portions of the Irresistibles Frames inked with Saddle as an added dimension to the cards. If you love these embellishments as much as I do, stock up now as they are being retired and will not make an appearance in the upcoming new Idea Book!

Once they were completed, all that was needed was just a couple of Durable Triangle Studs embellishments to created the desired look. It is amazing to see how little time it takes to have a convenient collection of cards to use for notes or greetings. Enjoy!

Now hop on over to Amy's blog to see what she has in store for you this month!
