The Paper Trail Takes You to Ivy Lane

Welcome to this month's edition of the Paper Trail featuring one of our brand spankin' new paper packets, Ivy Lane. That's right...the 2014 Spring/Summer Idea Book goes live today and there are seven new paper packets to enjoy! You may have started here at The Paper Taylor or you may have come here from Karen's blog. Either way, take a few minutes to browse thru a variety of artwork with Ivy Lane.

As long as I had the opportunity to play with new paper, I thought that it was only appropriate to play with a new stamp set as well. I just had to choose C1577 Mother's Day. Why? After all, Mother's Day is in May and we're only just beginning February. Well, it was all about the quote. Check it out! Raise your hand if you remember the moment when you realized that you were beginning to sound like your own mother! I still chuckle when I think about the day that my own daughter said something, immediately looked dumbfounded, and said, "Oh my gosh! I sound just like you." As you can imagine, that was a moment to remember!

The card was such fun to create! In addition to the Ivy Lane papers, I pulled out the darkest of three shades of pink in our new Pink Glitter Paper to pull out the bits of that color in the patterned paper. The plum colored paper is a kit exclusive color, Ivy Lane Purple, yet I was easily able to coordinate Smokey Plum ink for my stamping. I flanked the clear sparkle with two of the darkest Flamingo Dots and in little time at all, I had this simple card that would make anybody smile!

Want to know what other papers are in the Ivy Lane collection? Let's check it out.

While my card has a classic look, there are plenty of papers to use to create any number of styles. In addition to the patterned paper, you will also find cardstock in Bamboo, Hollyhock, Ivy Lane Green, and Ivy Lane Purple.

It's time to hop on over to Mary's blog to see what she has in store for you! Enjoy!
