What is your first reaction when you look at the Jubilee papers? Do you think of a country fair, jamboree, or hoedown? That has been the common thread among customers of mine as the paper in the front of the pack is the largest print. It is simple to thing of fun in the country when your eye goes toward the pig, cow, or chicken!
Even the colors speak to country freshness. Cranberry, Honey, Indian Corn Blue, Kraft, Juniper, Sweet Leaf and Topiary all make appearances in the patterned paper.
When you take a closer look at the featured papers, it's easy to see that the patterns go far beyond country fun. So let's take one of the papers and create a little something!
For this layout, I used the bandanna print paper and its reverse side, a honey-colored print. I brought out the greens in the print simply by adding a couple of torn strips in sweet leaf and topiary to the side of the layout. Focusing on the paisley design featured in the bandanna print, I cut large paisley embellishments from the Artiste Cricut cartridge and embellished them heavily with bling. A couple of circular chipboard pieces from the Jubilee Complements complete the large corner clusters.
On the right-hand layout, pieces of one of the zip strips march down the side proclaiming "You're One in a Melon", "Keep Cool", and "Summer Time Fun". That makes it easy to see how this layout could become the background for your photos of summer parties, beach visits and much more! Enjoy!
